Franklin County Schools offer a variety of enrichment programs which take students beyond the normal curriculum. Our elementary schools have achieved "Exemplary Schools" status awarded by the Tennessee Department of Education and have received one of the "Ten Great Schools" awards. The Basic Skills First program focuses the efforts of elementary teachers on reading, language arts, and mathematics. Our Excel program gives gifted students opportunities for enrichment. Music, art, and physical education teachers promote creativity and good physical health. Special education gives help to our special needs students.
